A certain user suffered a loss of 4.35 BTC due to using an e-commerce platform to purchase a counterfeit hardware wallet.
BlockBeats News, July 29th, SlowMist founder Tu Xin revealed in a post a new case, stating, "Another person purchased a so-called imToken secure cold hardware wallet on JD.com. The wallet used was pre-initialized by a scammer, meaning the scammer had control of the mnemonic phrase. The user directly used this mnemonic phrase as their own wallet, resulting in 4.35 BTC being stolen, equivalent to millions of RMB lost."
