Algeria Completely Bans Cryptocurrency-Related Activities
BlockBeats News, July 29th. According to Crypto Briefing, on July 24th, Algeria officially promulgated Law No. 25-10, which comprehensively prohibits cryptocurrency-related activities. The law prohibits the issuance, buying, selling, holding, using, and promotion of crypto assets, and also categorizes cryptocurrency mining, digital wallet usage, and exchange operation as illegal activities. Violators will face imprisonment ranging from 2 months to 1 year, as well as fines ranging from 200,000 to 1,000,000 Algerian dinars (approximately $1,540 to $7,700). If linked to organized crime networks or financial crime activities, the punishment will be further intensified.
