Analysis: Uniswap's Fee Switch-On Could Make Many Front-Running Pools on the Basechain "Vanish"
BlockBeats News, November 11th, Data analyst jpn memelord stated that a key effect of Uniswap's fee switch is to make fraudulent pools (such as honeypots and automated rugs, etc.) disappear overnight, as these pools rely on a protocol fee of zero.
According to rough estimates, around half of the Uniswap volume on Base belongs to this category. Unofficial unfiltered data shows that in 2025, Uniswap's volume on Base is $208.07 billion, but after applying some filtering conditions, the non-fraudulent volume is only $77.38 billion.
