British Lobbying Group Calls for UK-US 'Tech Bridge' to Include Blockchain
BlockBeats News, September 12th: Trump will visit the UK next week, and multiple UK trade groups are urging the government to include blockchain technology in any technology innovation partnership agreement with the United States.
A letter to the UK Business Secretary shows that more than a dozen industry groups representing the financial, technology, and cryptocurrency sectors have expressed that distributed ledger technology should be a "core part" of the so-called "UK-US Technology Bridge." Trump, embracing cryptocurrency assets during his second term, will lead a delegation of tech leaders on this state visit, including OpenAI's founder Sam Altman and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
Reports suggest that an agreement between the two countries will establish a "complementary partnership" in areas such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing. (Kinoko)
