DeFi Platform Credix Faces Attack, Losing Approximately $4.5 Million
BlockBeats News, August 4th, according to PeckShield monitoring, the administrator account address of the DeFi platform Credix was attacked. This account possesses several key permissions, including:
· POOL_ADMIN (Pool Administrator)
· BRIDGE (Cross-chain Bridge Permission)
· ASSET_LISTING_ADMIN (Asset Listing Administrator)
· EMERGENCY_ADMIN (Emergency Administrator)
· RISK_ADMIN (Risk Control Administrator)
The attacker exploited the BRIDGE permission, stealing or borrowing funds from the pool assets, resulting in an estimated loss of about $4.5 million. This also included the minting of a counterfeit (not backed by real assets) acUSDC token (Credix Market Sonic USDC).
