HashKey supports overnight forex, and the licensed trading platform has fully implemented 24/7 fiat currency exchange for the first time.
BlockBeats News, December 18, Hong Kong - Hong Kong's leading licensed virtual asset exchange HashKey Exchange announced today its support for overnight USD to HKD foreign exchange. This is the first time a licensed virtual asset platform in Hong Kong has simultaneously assisted retail and institutional clients in 7x24-hour fiat currency exchange, allowing more users to enjoy a near-native crypto market funding experience.
Previously, HKD and USD exchanges were limited to working hours, making it difficult for institutions to hedge overnight and for individuals to transfer funds promptly. With the introduction of overnight foreign exchange, HashKey Exchange will assist in processing requests outside of banking hours, allowing users to complete exchanges at any time without waiting for the bank to open or perform additional operations. As a licensed platform, every fund used for overnight foreign exchange on HashKey Exchange will be completely isolated from platform operational funds and continuously monitored by the system in real-time, ensuring that overnight exchanges are as secure and reliable as daytime exchanges.
This update addresses the time constraints of HashKey Exchange's fiat channels and contributes to the enhancement of Hong Kong's digital financial infrastructure. Whether institutional investors needing to adjust positions in real-time or individual users wishing to exchange funds anytime, now they can enjoy a continuous and seamless exchange experience within a regulated environment.
Randall Chan, Managing Director of HashKey Exchange, said: "Fiat liquidity has always been one of the biggest obstacles for institutions to enter the digital asset arena. Overnight foreign exchange significantly reduces the time constraints on institutions for hedging, transferring, and settling, allowing funds to flow securely at any time. Next, we will continue to connect trading, deposits and withdrawals, custody, and settlement to create a complete liquidity infrastructure that allows users to access their funds at any time while staying within the regulatory framework."
About HashKey Exchange: HashKey Exchange is committed to setting a new standard for virtual asset exchanges in terms of compliance, fund security, and platform safety. Hash Blockchain Limited (HashKey Exchange) is one of the first licensed retail virtual asset exchanges in Hong Kong. It is currently approved by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) and holds a Type 1 (Securities Trading), Type 7 (Providing Automated Trading Services) license under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, as well as a license to operate a virtual asset trading platform under the Anti-Money Laundering Ordinance. HashKey Exchange has obtained ISO 27001 (Information Security) and ISO 27701 (Privacy Information) management system certifications. To comply with laws and regulations, HashKey Exchange does not provide services to users in mainland China, the United States, and certain other jurisdictions.
