JPMorgan: Regulators outside the U.S. prefer tokenized bank deposits over stablecoins
Odaily News JPMorgan Chase analyzed that regulators in many countries, including the Bank of England, tend to support non-bearer tokenized bank deposits rather than stablecoins, because the former is settled at face value and is more in line with the singleness principle of legal currency. Although stablecoins still have advantages in liquidity and convenience, JPM is also testing a licensed token deposit product called JPMD on Base. (TheBlock)
