This license is a federal financial compliance license issued by the US Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), covering scenarios such as currency exchange, remittance, and cryptocurrency transactions.
According to FinCEN guidance documents, the transmission and receipt of stablecoins are considered money transmission services, requiring an MSB license registration and compliance with anti-money laundering obligations.
