OpenAI is investing $1.1 billion to acquire Statsig.

BlockBeats News, September 3rd, OpenAI, the artificial intelligence giant, confirmed on Tuesday that it is undergoing an executive team reorganization, establishing a new role of Application Chief Technology Officer, and acquiring product analytics company Statsig for $1.1 billion. The acquired company, Statsig, specializes in product optimization services such as A/B testing. Its founder and CEO, Vijaye Raji, will join OpenAI as the Application Chief Technology Officer, reporting directly to Application Business CEO Fidji Simo.


Simo joined OpenAI after resigning from her position as CEO of the grocery delivery platform Instacart on August 18th. In the announcement, OpenAI stated: "Following the completion of the transaction, Statsig employees will join the OpenAI team. The company will continue to operate independently and serve existing customers from its Seattle headquarters." (Jinse)
