Solana’s integration with other blockchains enables seamless cross-chain movement of RWAs, marked by the introduction of USDY, a yield-bearing token with over $170 million in total value locked and extensive protocol integrations. Ondo Finance’s bridge introduces a Decentralized Verifier Network (DVN) that independently validates all cross-chain operations. In a major advancement for real-world asset (RWA) adoption, Solana’s ecosystem is now directly connected to leading Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Mantle. This was possible thanks to a newly launched bridge, powered by LayerZero and developed by Ondo Finance. Moreover, this integration represents a significant leap forward in the seamless movement of RWAs across blockchain environments. Solana Sees Major Advancement In RWA Space This has been further amplified by the issuance of a USDY a yield-bearing token issued by Ondo Finance. The token has already seen heavy usage on Solana with over $170m total value locked and more than 15 active protocol integrations. Previously, USDY was limited to the Solana network. However, now, it is able to move across different blockchains with high efficiency and without the need for any third-party liquidity pools. Here, LayerZero’s infrastructure is used for the bridging process, to burn and mint tokens on transfers, and so it does not rely on a capital reserve, thereby lowering the friction in asset mobility. In this launch , Ondo also debuts its custom-built Decentralized Verifier Network (DVN) which is a specialized verification layer for Ondo-issued tokens. The DVN independently validates all cross-chain mint and burn operations. This ensures that the total supply of USDY remains consistent and accurate across all networks. Unlike conventional bridging mechanisms, Ondo’s DVN incorporates various checks and authorizations that are performed off-chain, as highlighted in our previous report. Both Ondo’s system as well as a DVN for each transaction passing through the bridge get used. This layered approach is designed to reduce reliance on any single validator, improving system resilience and ensuring high integrity in asset transfers. Advantages For Solana Network Users & Ondo’s Future Outlook For Solana users, this connectivity unlocks access to decentralized finance strategies and liquidity opportunities that exist outside their ecosystem. From now on, investors and developers can take advantage of the yield-bearing benefits of USDY via Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Mantle protocols without relinquishing the security of the token. Design of the system enables USDY to be a high-efficiency settlement asset, comparable to traditional stablecoins used in cross-chain applications. With this milestone, Solana has further strengthened its place in the growing RWA market and further aligned it with the possibility of interoperability with institutional-grade financial products. The integration enables new forms of capital allocation and portfolio management strategies, particularly appealing to market participants seeking composable assets that can retain yield while moving freely across networks. Also, this bridge rollout is a foundation for broader use cases as Ondo partners with LayerZero. It’s designed to accommodate expansions on the infrastructure to include tokenized U.S. equities and government securities. Looking ahead, Ondo Finance is preparing for the launch of Ondo Global Markets, which will allow those tokenized U.S. equities on-chain with omnichain functionality. This next phase is for them to take the next step to further increase access to traditional financial instruments within decentralized environments while further integrating RWAs.
