Trump: Might Soon Announce New Fed Chair, Powell Lowered Rates Too Late
BlockBeats News, August 5th. During a live interview on CNBC's "Squawk Box," U.S. President Trump stated that the Fed Chair is a political position and Powell cut rates too late.
There are many excellent candidates for Fed Chair, such as Warsh and Hassett, as well as two other candidates who may be announced as the next Fed Chair soon. I like [Kevin] Warsh, but he wants to stay at the Treasury.
Perhaps the vacancy left by Powell could be used to select the future Fed Chair. (FXStreet)
