US law enforcement seizes over $10 million in cryptocurrency from Sinaloa drug cartel
Odaily News The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) seized more than $10 million in cryptocurrencies related to the Mexican Sinaloa drug cartel in a joint operation in Miami, Florida. The seizure is part of a nationwide crackdown on drug trafficking in the United States. DEA Acting Director Robert Murphy said they are gradually dismantling these criminal networks. The Sinaloa drug cartel is one of the six Mexican terrorist drug trafficking organizations identified by the U.S. government, mainly engaged in the distribution of drugs such as cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.
