InterPlanetary File System (IPFS)
The InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is a peer-to-peer distributed file storage system designed to decentralize the way data is stored and shared on the internet. Unlike traditional systems that store files in centralized servers, IPFS breaks files into smaller chunks and distributes them across a network of nodes. Each file is assigned a unique cryptographic hash, which ensures the integrity of the data. Users can access the file using this hash, and the file can be reconstructed from the chunks spread across the network. IPFS is often used in conjunction with blockchain applications, particularly for storing and sharing large datasets, media files, or decentralized applications.
