Mining Pool
A mining pool is a group of cryptocurrency miners who combine their computational resources to increase their chances of solving cryptographic puzzles and mining a new block. When a block is successfully mined, the reward is distributed among the pool participants based on their contributed hash power. Mining pools enable smaller miners to compete with larger mining operations and earn a more consistent income, even though the rewards are shared. Popular mining pools include F2Pool and AntPool. Joining a mining pool reduces the variance in mining rewards and makes it more accessible for individuals with limited computational power.
