BlockBeats News, January 11th, Crypto sentiment analysis platform Santiment stated that the current social media sentiment around Ethereum has dropped significantly, approaching the same levels of pessimism seen before the 2025 ETH price rally. When the crypto community begins to "give up" on Ethereum and sentiment hits extreme lows, the price often experiences a sudden surge.

ETH hit its yearly low of $1,472 on April 9, 2025, and in just 4 months surged by nearly 70%, reaching close to its 2021 all-time high of $4,878 on August 23, 2025. Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan mentioned that the current pessimistic sentiment towards ETH indicates that a significant further drop is unlikely.
