SlowMist: A certain user had 4.35 BTC stolen after purchasing a hardware wallet through unofficial channels, suspecting that the mnemonic phrase was compromised.
BlockBeats News, July 29th, SlowMist tweeted that, "There has been a case of funds being stolen due to the purchase of a hardware wallet through an unofficial channel. The victim used a wallet that had been pre-initialized by the scammer, meaning the attacker had the seed phrase from the beginning. In the end, 4.35 BTC was stolen. Please make sure to purchase wallet devices through official channels."
