BlockBeats News, November 28th: Tron Foundation recently announced that the java-tron v4.8.1 pre-release version has been officially launched on the Nile testnet as a mandatory upgrade. All Nile nodes are urged to complete the update as soon as possible. This upgrade covers multiple key modules including consensus core, virtual machine, network, event service, and API, aiming to further enhance the overall performance, security, and cross-architecture compatibility of the Tron network.

According to the Nile testnet official website, this upgrade has significantly improved the performance of the Tron network in terms of architectural compatibility, virtual machine security, network stability, event and API query capabilities, and development toolchain. It includes new ARM architecture support, introduces TIP-6780 to adjust the SELFDESTRUCT instruction, optimizes P2P communication and event queries, extends block receipts and SR vote query interfaces, and further enhances the overall performance and maintainability of the system through toolchain upgrades.

It is worth noting that the new proposal in the Nile testnet GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 requires a governance vote on-chain to take effect in the testnet. Whether it will be activated on the mainnet will depend on the progress of the upgrade and the governance results.
